This is What We Believe
THIS IS WHAT WE BELIEVE
Doktrin Bala Keselamatan
Sebagaimana tercantum dalam Undang-Undang Gereja Bala Keselamatan tahun 1980
Ayat 1.
KAMI percaya, bahwa Alkitab, yang terdiri dari : Perjanjian Lama dan Baru ditulis dengan ilham Allah; Dan bahwa kedua duanya itu sajalah merupakan peraturan Ilahi mengenai Iman dan praktik kehidupan Kristen.
Ayat 2.
KAMI percaya bahwa Allah itu Esa dan Maha sempurna - Pencipta, pemelihara, dan pemerintah alam semesta - dan hanya kepada Dia sajalah patut manusia berbakti.
Ayat 3.
KAMI percaya bahwa ada tiga pribadi dalam Allah yakni : ALLAH BAPA, ANAK dan ROH KUDUS, yang tak terpisahkan dalam intinya dan yang sama kuasa dan kemuliaan-Nya
Ayat 4.
KAMI percaya, bahwa di dalam pribadi Yesus Kristus, sifat-sifat Ilahi dan manusia dipersatukan ; dengan demikian Ia sesungguhnya Allah, dan juga sesungguhnya manusia adanya.
Ayat 5.
KAMI percaya, bahwa nenek moyang kita yang pertama diciptakan Allah dalam keadaan yang tidak berdosa, tetapi karena melanggar perintah Allah mereka kehilangan kesucian dan kebahagiaan mereka dan bahwa kejatuhan mereka menyebabkan semua manusia juga jadi berdosa, rusak sama sekali batinnya dan oleh karena itu patut kena murka Allah.
Ayat 6.
KAMI percaya bahwa Tuhan Yesus Kristus, oleh sengsara dan kematianNya sudah mengadakan pendamaian bagi segenap dunia. Sehingga barang siapa yang mau dapat diselamatkan.
Ayat 7.
KAMI percaya bahwa penyesalan dihadapan Allah, kepercayaan kepada Tuhan kami Yesus Kristus dan hal dilahirkan kembali oleh Roh Kudus adalah perlu guna memperoleh keselamatan.
Ayat 8.
KAMI percaya bahwa kami dibenarkan oleh kasih karunia Allah, melalui iman kepada Tuhan kami Yesus Kristus, dan bahwa setiap orang yang percaya memiliki kesaksian tentang hal itu di dalam dirinya
Ayat 9.
KAMI percaya bahwa keberlangsungan keadaan diselamatkan tergantung pada ketetap-taatan Iman kepada Kristus
Ayat 10.
KAMI percaya bahwa semua orang yang beriman diberi hak istimewa untuk dikuduskan secara keseluruhan dan bahwa segenap roh dan jiwa dan tubuh dapat terpelihara sempurna dengan tak bercacat pada kedatangan Yesus Kristus, Tuhan kami.
Ayat 11.
KAMI percaya akan kekekalan jiwa manusia, kebangkitan tubuh, hari pengadilan pada akhir zaman, kebahagiaan kekal bagi orang saleh, dan hukuman kekal bagi orang durjana.
THE DOCTRINES OF THE SALVATION ARMY
As set out in Schedule 1 of The Salvation Army Act 1980
We believe that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments were given by inspiration of God, and that they only constitute the Divine rule of Christian faith and practice.
We believe that there is only one God, who is infinitely perfect, the Creator, Preserver, and Governor of all things, and who is the only proper object of religious worship.
We believe that there are three persons in the Godhead – the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost, undivided in essence and co-equal in power and glory.
We believe that in the person of Jesus Christ the Divine and human natures are united, so that He is truly and properly God and truly and properly man.
We believe that our first parents were created in a state of innocency, but by their disobedience they lost their purity and happiness, and that in consequence of their fall all men have become sinners, totally depraved, and as such are justly exposed to the wrath of God.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ has by His suffering and death made an atonement for the whole world so that whosoever will may be saved.
We believe that repentance towards God, faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, and regeneration by the Holy Spirit, are necessary to salvation.
We believe that we are justified by grace through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ and that he that believeth hath the witness in himself.
We believe that continuance in a state of salvation depends upon continued obedient faith in Christ.
We believe that it is the privilege of all believers to be wholly sanctified, and that their whole spirit and soul and body may be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We believe in the immortality of the soul; in the resurrection of the body; in the general judgment at the end of the world; in the eternal happiness of the righteous; and in the endless punishment of the wicked.
