Cadets Commissioned, Ordained and Graduated in India South Eastern Territory

The Salvation Army’s Keepers of the Covenant session (2024–2026) marked a significant milestone through covenant, commissioning, ordination and graduation services held in Nagercoil on 24 and 26 April 2026.

The Salvation Army India South Eastern Territory celebrated the commissioning, ordination and graduation of the Keepers of the Covenant session (2024–2026) in a series of spiritually significant events that brought together cadets, leaders, officers, soldiers, youth and friends.

Territorial Leaders Commissioners Lalhmingliana and Lalhlimpuii served as chief guests throughout the programme, with support from Lieut. Colonels Santhi Babu and Samraj Babu. Their leadership and pastoral guidance shaped the services with clarity, conviction and encouragement.

The Cadets’ Covenant Service took place on 24 April 2026 in the chapel of the College for Officer Training, Nagercoil. In a reverent gathering of territorial, divisional and district leaders, the cadets affirmed their calling to officership. Commissioner Lalhmingliana spoke on the sacred responsibility of the Officers’ Covenant before the cadets signed it as an act of dedication to God’s service.

The Commissioning and Ordination Service followed on 26 April 2026 at Vadasery Corps, where more than 500 officers, soldiers, young people and friends gathered. After a dignified march and the formal presentation of the cadets by Major Stephen Herbert Singh, Training Principal, Commissioner Lalhmingliana commissioned and ordained the cadets, prayed for them and challenged the congregation to respond to the urgency of God’s mission today.

The celebration also included the presentation of the Silver Star honour to the parents of the newly commissioned officers in recognition of their prayers and sacrifice. The new officers received the Bachelor of Theology degree, accredited by the Asian Theological Association, and then received their first appointments from the Territorial Commander.

The Chief Secretary also announced summer term appointments for the Proclaimers of Transformation session cadets. Gifts from Vadasery Corps and a closing time of prayer at the Mercy Seat brought the service to a fitting conclusion, with thanks extended to the TSACC team for live-streaming the meeting.
