NATIONAL LEADERSHIP TRAINING FOR CABINET SECRETARIES

KOLKATA ,

20 Cabinet Secretaries of 6 Indian Territories headed to Kolkata; joy of coming closer to exchange experiences; act of learning together of their big  roles; walking within the walls for a week with God under the banner of 'Making the Mission'- were encouraged by Colonel Ross Gower, Under Secretary for South Asia Zone.

For the first time a National Leadership Training for Cabinet Secretaries for all six Indian Territories was organized by the department of Human Resource Development and Education, India National Secretariat, Kolkata. Major Lalramliana Hnamte, Secretary for the department organized with the support of National Secretary, Lieut-Colonel Davidson Varghese which was conducted by the International Secretary and Zonal Secretary for Women's Ministries, Commissioners Lalkiamlova and Lalhlimpuii. The lessons on the line were educated by Lieut-Colonel Ross Gower who was the prime resource person for the training.

The Army's newly introduced administrative system in India called Cabinet System with the leadership role model was mainly focused in this training. The issues that always seem difficult in the ministry according to the relevant situation in which an officer has to face in India was well informed in this training. Ross' teachings and lectures were really informative and relevant for all the delegates that helped the delegates to have a better understanding about their roles and functions of the Cabinet System.

The lessons began from the root explaining why the new administrative system was introduced. The importance of delegation, consultation, working together as a team in the ministerial administration were also covered in the lecture. The line of subjects dealt during these sessions were: Colonel Ross' Why a new structure?, What does the Cabinet structure mean ?,  Cabinet position, A Closer look to the Cabinet structure, How to delegate?, How to run a Cabinet section?; Lieut- Colonel Davidson's  Know your Organisation; Major Lalramliana's Making a difference, Officers and Self-Efficacy; International Secretary and ZSWM were during the sessions coming for further clarifications at every need on the subjects. The depth of International Secretary's Bible studies on Abraham, Jacob and Isaac's life inspired the delegates. Delegates' reflections and participation had brought the creative involvements to identify leadership qualities.

National Secretary's Know your organization was very relevant to the needs of our contemporary situation.

'Officers and Self Efficacy' and 'Make a Difference' were of a kind of wake-up call from our slumbering and to make a difference in bringing hope to our communities.

Final session was led by Commissioner Lalkiamlova and Lieut-Colonel Ross Gower encouraged with his scripture message.

The training enhanced the leadership skills, zeal and enthusiasm in God's ministry which will enable them to have a better leadership role for smooth functioning of their ministry and leadership as well.

With a new ray of hope and insight to make a difference in their places where they are put in by God departed the venue.
