India Northern Territory was blessed with the scheduled visit of Commissioner Alistair Venter, International Secretary for South Asia and Commissioner Marieke Venter, Zonal Secretary for Women's Ministries from 18 March to 23rd March 2018.
Having had a wonderful Holiness Meeting at Delhi Citadel Corps, on 18th Commissioners were able to conclude territorial reviews, after cutting the ribbon of the main entrance of THQ building and meeting officers and leaders. The Commissioners proceeded to be with the school staff and students at Senior Secondary School in Batala on 22nd of March accompanied by Territorial Leaders Commissioners Wilfred Varughese and Prema Wilfred. As usual, a Punjabi traditional welcome was accorded to Commissioners and entertained with cultural treat which, they enjoyed and later met with the members of management committee. In response to the welcome Zonal Secretary for Women's Ministries inspired young minds that, aircraft and rocket can take only to moon and space but cross of Christ alone, can make to get to Heaven. It was well said by International Secretary that, learning is a lifelong process which, has to be carried on and appreciated everyone involved in academic exercise of youngsters in Army schools. All arrangements and visit was organized by Majors Robert Masih and Sumitra Masih who have been responsible in running the school that exists for one hundred years and led the leaders to have a tour of every activity within the campus.
The Commissioners were then in the afternoon guided to one of the visible expressions of God's love toward community which is The Salvation Army MacRobert hospital, Dhariwal where, poor community receive healing. The visit brought boundless blessings to the staff and patients. The visit to various departments concluded with the dedication of auto reflectometer machine by the Commissioners funded by International Headquarters. It was very appropriate that digital X-ray machine (CR) which costs seven lakhs of rupees donated by Mrs. Aruna Sharma in memory of her beloved husband Late Shree Inder Saharma was also dedicated by leaders of South Asia. The visit here too was not concluded without cultural presentation by nursing students and Sunday school children. Majors Gurnam, Administrator of the hospital and his wife made elaborate arrangement related to the visit to make it a blessing.
West Bengal Division also part of the India Northern Territory and last but not the least, they also blessed by the visit of International Leaders on 15th April 2018 along with Territorial Commander and Chief Secretary of INT. Commissioners Lalzamlova and Nemkhanching (Nu-i), Territorial leaders and Lieut. Colonel John Kumar, Chief Secretary of India Eastern Territory were also present on this holy day. Commissioner Alistair Venter dedicated the child Master Archie Francis S/O Lieutenant & Mrs. Simson Francis.
The Commissioners visit includes devotional time with staff at Territorial Headquarters and spiritual meeting before they left the territory and territorial leaders were much encouraged by the visit of the leaders.
